I think you mean an EB-2. This is the Gibson hollow body model.

The EB-3 is a solid body bass guitar.

Very nice year bass...worth much more then $600!

What a cool site. Nice job. I have a line on a Gibson Flying V BASS and have no idea what it is worth or what I should consider paying for it. I know they didn't make many of these. The don't play well for Christ sake.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Many years ago I knew a guy that had a Cherry Red Gibson ES-335 style bass guitar. It was beautiful. I've never been able to find any info anywhere on this model bass. I'm sure it was a Gibson.

Anybody heard of such a thing?

I've had a cherry red 1965 EB2 for 39 years now.Borrowed 125$ from my parents in 1970 to purchase it used with the trebble pickup missing. Replaced it eventually and since i've enjoyed and loved this instrument. In London in 2004 I saw 4 similar Gibson EB2 basses going for 1200 to 1500£. Today I've no idea what the prices are doing but my guess is that they are dropping and good deals are out there.
